Restored - by Jannahtul Farha Abdin (QI 2016)

– Written By Jannatul Farha Abdin

Her body from inside sank down,

It was hard for her to speak or breathe

Something unexpected had happened,

Her heart was aching with grief…

She brought herself back up however,

Thinking that it was all now over

But she was made to sink again, Losing all of her power…

Whenever she got up, she fell

With heaviness of grief inside

A heaviness that was hard to quell

No matter how hard she tried…

Every door was closed upon her

Except the sky that opened wide

She was left alone with God, How intensely she cried…

She came to the realization

She was on this earth only for a test,

To journey towards her destination, To be selected for that home of eternal rest

Purification, Prayer, Hope… Repentance and Patience

With all of these, she fought her mission

And something without which, all deeds are wasted

She had finally fixed her intention!

What was lost, became restored at last,

The difficult test had finally passed

Her Lord rescued her from grief, and held her aching heart,

Before the pain couldtear her apart.
