Myself is Badr- by Kiran Salim (QI-2016)

O far away from the worldly ways,

Yet heart does miss few things a while,

To heart’s desire, I have turned a blind eye,

But Satan does know his way inside.

Taqwa takes over and guides the way,

But makes me wonder:Does God’s fear in me actually abide?

Amongst the haze, my escape are earnest prayers,

The straight path to my Lord, the heart tries to find.

And in my weakest I pray to God for angels,T

he angels of Badr and Uhud to come to my guide.

Progression a lost dream in the era of delusion,

But as for now – Myself is my Badr.
