Reflections from Surah Nahl

I have been planning to go for a vacation for a very long time, every summer I would look for destinations and hotels and imagine about the perfect relaxing, fun holiday. Qadr Allah it never happened.

1st Stop - Surah Nahl

This year (الحمد لله) I did go for an amazing, relaxing and life changing vacation, or rather I am still on it now. The journey started from Surah Nahl. Allah (سبحانه و تعالى) has made me realize that all His creation, whether its small or big has a purpose in life, it has its own organization. The way the moon, sun and the stars are running smoothly day in and day out. The mountains are anchored perfectly into the ground and the way the ships float in the sea. It is as if I have a microscope in my hand and I am looking at all the Creations of Allah from a very different perspective. Even the fruits look different to me now, from their outward appearance, to their stunning colors, to the way they are produced from a single seed.

سبحان الله I was amazed by the miraculous Ayahs on the honey bee. It inspired me to study the entire life-cycle of a honeybee. I was astonished to find out how single handedly the Queen bee runs the whole show. All honeybees serve a purpose; even the small newborn bees are trained to produce the wax. They are not merely left alone to play; rather they are responsible for the entire foundation of the beehive! This made me reflect on the upbringing of our own newborn babies. We just encourage them to play and amuse themselves .

Allah (سبحانه و تعالى) has beautifully explained that He is the Malik (The Owner), and the Khaliq (The Creator). It is His kingdom – little do we realize that all the Heavens and the Earth belong to Allah. Allah (سبحانه و تعالى) has made us from clay – we were nothing – but it’s only because of His mercy that we are able to do what we want; and yet we are neglectful in worshipping and obeying Him!

The Journey continues …
